When I think about going out for brunch, I think of never ending glasses of mimosas, good music, and mouth watering dishes. This is exactly what we got at P.S. Kitchen! I promise that my meat lovers will not miss it here. I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. Wow times flies! To be politically correct I am a pescatarian since I eat dairy products and certain types of fish. You would think that being vegan would come naturally for me but its just as hard a meat lover trying to stop eating meat. Transitioning into any new lifestyle takes alot of discipline and work to reach the desired effect. That is why I am so glad there are more and more places like this that make it easy to incorporate a plant based diet into your everyday enjoyable activities! Twenty years ago the only vegan brunch out there was ordering an “all sides” entree wherever you went. My sister, cousin, and I made it a girls day out complete with good conversation and lots of laughs!

Plant Based Everything

The food was to die for! Everything on the menu was so flavorful and tasty. The three of us all got different entrees and shared it all with each other and I am telling you there was nothing bad about anything that hit our table! For starters we had the avocado toast made with roasted garlic purée, harissa chili purée, heirloom cherry tomatoes, micro cilantro, lime zest . Our entrees were the French Toast- strawberry compote, candied almonds, strawberry butter, coconut whipped cream. We had the Smokey BBQ Burger- beyond burger, BBQ portabella, caramelized onions, American cheese, pickles on a pretzel bun, fries. And we selected the P.S. Breakfast- smoked maple-portabella, scrambled tofu, sautéed kale, tomato jam, toast . This was all perfectly paired with never ending glasses of mimosas. Is your mouth watering yet? So delicious!

Brunching For Charity

We loved the fact that 100% of proceeds from P.S. Kitchen go to charity. We felt good knowing that our business goes to employing other New Yorkers and reaches across the world to those who need it most. Just another reason to visit this noteworthy restaurant. Good for your body and the planet! The cost of an entree with bottomless mimosas is $45. Typical for NYC.

A Happy Ending

For those of you who have a sweet tooth like me, P.S. Kitchen did not disappoint in their dessert menu. We got three different options and decided to share them all. I eat dairy and I swear I did not miss it for even a second. After dining here I started seriously contemplating going vegan again! My cousin who suggested this place is vegan and with good food like this, adopting a plant based lifestyle is not such a bad idea.
