4 POWERFUL Affirmations for Moms

Our thoughts dictate our mood and behavior. I learned that the average person has the same 5 thought topics replaying in their head over and over again. This is why affirmations are so powerful. It breaks the vicious cycle of potentially limiting thoughts in our minds and trains our subconscious to think more positively. More specifically, “I AM” statements reaffirms the words as facts for yourself. To say “I will be a good mother” is very different from saying “I am a good mother”. These 4 powerful affirmations for moms will leave you feeling much more empowered in your role as a mama. Recite these every day for at least 21 days and see how your mindset can transform you.

1. I AM Doing My Best

powerful affirmations

Oftentimes we are hard on ourselves. How many times have you asked yourself if you are doing enough for your children? I know I have. And with 2 under 2 sometimes it feels as though I’m not filling one’s cup as much as the other. But we have to remind ourselves that we are doing our best. And our best will always be good enough. Something like 80% of our thoughts are negative so saying this to yourself can be very reaffirming.

2. I AM Enough

powerful affirmations

There can only be one mama and it’s YOU. We are able to give our children all that they need. Everyone else is extra. I remember breaking down one day a few months after having Kalib feeling like I wasn’t enough for Kira. That she needed more than what I could give her because now that there’s another baby I can no longer give her my undivided attention. But this was a limiting belief. Sometimes we convince ourselves of the worst when really all they see is the best. If we ever had an opportunity to see things through our children’s eyes… we would see that we are perfect and more than enough.

3. I AM Capable of Much More Than I Realize

powerful affirmations

How many time have you said “I can’t do this” especially on the harder days? But you got through it anyway? As moms we are given this unprecedented strength that gets us through this journey. One thing you are is capable. You have to know that!

4. I AM Grateful for All That I Have

powerful affirmations

We hear this all the time- children are a blessing. But we tend to forget that, when said children are clogging the toilet with tissue or coloring your walls red. Practicing gratitude is a great way to remind ourselves that we get to experience this journey. The highs AND the lows. When I say my nightly prayers I make a habit of starting off by thanking God for the day and all that I have. It shifts your focus to the positives of life and you soon realize that even a bad day wasn’t so bad after all.

Whether you are a stay at home mom or working mom- we all have our moments where we may question if we are doing all the right things for our children. That is why a positive mindset is so powerful! These daily affirmations take less than 1 minute to recite and goes a long way for your mental wellness. You are doing a great job mama!
